TRAGIC: Soldiers kill three youths during birthday party

Three youths have been killed with others injured after gunmen, suspected to be soldiers attached to the Special Taskforce on Security in Jos, Plateau State, opened fire on them at a birthday party.
The incident was said to have occurred at Joenice Bar at the Nyango Gel , Bukuru Low cost area of Jos.
It was gathered that an argument between the youth and the owner of the bar, prompted him (owner) to alert members of the STF.
An eyewitness said immediately the STF men got to the scene, they started shooting at the youth; killing three persons while others sustained injuries.
The father of Timshak, one of the victims, Mr Nantel Miri, told our correspondent at his residence in Zawan that the action of the soldiers was lamentable.
Nantel said he could not believe that those saddled with the responsibility of protecting citizens could turn around to kill them.
Miri demanded Justice and urged the task force commander to bring the soldiers, who carried out the acts, to book.
Efforts to reach the spokesman for the Special Task Force, Capt. Ikedichi Iweha, were not successful as his phone rang out.
