Two Suspects Arrested in Connection With Nyanya Bomb Blast

 
Two Cameroonians were arrested at the scene of the yesterday's blast at Nyanya, Abuja, The Paradigm reports.

According to the information gathered, the two detained suspects could neither understand nor speak English.

An eyewitness told The Paradigm that a Mazda car was used for the bombings, while Premium Times previously reported that it was Volkswagen Golf.

The eyewitness said that the Golf car with 3 people inside was parked near Mazda, the people died instantly.

The witness said that 3 suspects drove by, parked the car and started running.

"As people started pursuing them, the car exploded creating panic and pandemonium that made them to escape."

It was also gathered that an unexploded bomb was recovered by one of the security men on duty, soon after the explosion. The tragedy scene was immediately condoned off for the experts to diffuse the bomb.

It would be recalled that a dire explosion rocked yesterday evening Nyanya, Abuja, leaving at least 12 people dead and scores injured. This suspected suicide bombing comes barely three weeks after a similar attack was launched in the same area of the country capital.
